The government of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) has dismissed a civil judge following a referral from the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
Naveen Jamwal, a Civil Judge (Junior Division)/Munsiff, was dismissed for taking money from a person under the pretext of providing him employment.
The J&K Department of Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs issued an order dismissing Jamwal from service.
“On recommendation of the Hon’ble Full Court of High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor is please to order the removal of Shri Naveen Jamwal Civil-Judge (Junior-Division)/Munsiff from service with immediate effect,”
Said the Order
The High Court conducted an investigation into Jamwal’s allegations under the supervision of a High Court Judge. Jamwal was found guilty after an investigation.
The High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh then sent a letter to the Government of Jammu and Kashmir, through its Registrar General, requesting that the judge be removed from service with immediate effect.
