As per the reports in Deccan Herald, Sangeeta Shikkeri, an advocate, was attacked by her neighbor, Mahantesh Cholachagudda, over a property dispute.
Later, the accused was apprehended.
Shikari claimed that the attack was motivated by a complaint she filed against Bagalkot BJP General Secretary Raju Naikar for harassing her over a property dispute. But, Mahantesh and Naikar both denied this.
While Mahantesh stated that his assault was not the result of someone’s provocation, Naikar stated that the allegations against him are part of a political conspiracy and that he did not instigate anyone to assault Shikkeri.
