The Allahabad High Court, which has a sanctioned strength of 160 justices, is now operating with 94 judges, with 66 vacancies.
The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended that ten additional Allahabad High Court judges be appointed as permanent judges.
The decision was made during a meeting of the Collegium on May 21.
The names of the judges who have been approved for appointment as permanent judges are as follows:
Sanjay Kumar Pachori, Justice;
- Subhash Chandra Sharma, Justice
- Subhash Chand, Justice (Presently working in Jharkhand High Court on Transfer)
- Saroj Yadav, a judge;
- Mohd Aslam, Justice
- Justice Ojha, Anil Kumar
- Sadhna Rani (Thakur) is a judge.
- Syed Aftab Husain Rizvi, Justice;
- Ajai Tyagi, Justice, and
- Justice Srivastava, Ajai Kumar I.
