The Delhi International Arbitration Centre (DIAC), which was founded in November 2009, is a professional, independent organisation that addresses the expanding need for institutional arbitration.
Launching the Delhi Arbitration Weekend, DIAC is now prepared to spread its wings and unite the world’s arbitration community (DAW). DAW will include panel talks on a variety of arbitration-related issues, as well as chances to partake in specialised seminars, networking events, and a glimpse into Delhi’s culture and history.
Leading international arbitral institutions, jurists, important figures from eminent Indian and international law firms that specialise in conflict settlement, and other stakeholders will be hosted by DAW to discuss important topics and current concerns relating to arbitration.
Satish Chandra Sharma, Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court, and Justice Vibhu Bakhru, Chairman of the Delhi International Arbitration Center, are supporting DAW. Justices Rekha Palli, Subramonium Prasad, and Attorney Shashank Garg make up the organising committee. Senior Attorneys Gourab Banerji, Darius J. Khambata, and K.V. Vishwanathan are available to DAW as consultants.
A working committee of energetic young professionals will support the executive committee, which will be led by experts and practitioners from India and outside.
With the purpose of critically analysing India as a rising preferred arbitration jurisdiction, a vision shared and treasured by DIAC, the arranged events will concentrate on the most recent trends and advances in domestic and international arbitration in a variety of areas. The first DAW will be held at S Block, Delhi High Court, Zakir Hussain Marg, New Delhi, from February 16 to February 19, 2023. On the DIAC website, the registration form will soon be available.
